    Dropdown-toggle not working on search result pages

    My main nav works great until I'm on a search result page -- then the dropdown-toggle stops working. I'm using WordPress 4.6.1 and Bootstrap 3.0.0.

    The nav code with the dropdown looks like this.

    Code:
         <div class="collapse navbar-collapse navbar-main-menu">
    					<ul class="nav navbar-nav">
    							<li><a href="/">Home</a></li>
    							<li class="dropdown">
    							<a href="" class="dropdown-toggle" data-toggle="dropdown">About <b class="caret"></b></a>
    									<ul class="dropdown-menu">
    										<li><a href="/about/about-our-school/">About Our School</a></li>
    										<li><a href="/about/faculty-staff/">Faculty & Staff</a></li>
    										<li><a href="/about/faith-and-character/">Faith & Character</a></li>
    										<li><a href="/about/online-learning-program/">Online Learning Program</a></li>
    									</ul>
    							</li>

    Has anyone else come across this problem and is there a fix?

    I discovered the problem. Search.php was calling a function that doesn't exist so the page was not completely loading. What tipped me off is that the menu worked when there were zero search results. The loop with results had the bad call. Once I removed the call to that function the menu works as expected.
